Romanian artist graces I Am The Immaculate Conception movie with the soul-stirring portrayal of the Magnificat

Fathom Events and Kondrat Media’s new docu-drama features the breathtaking sacred music of Maria Coman in Latin rendition of the beloved hymn of Mary

DECEMBER 6, 2024 – DENVER –  The “Magnificat,” a canticle known as the Song of Mary, is one of the oldest Christian hymns. A new rendition of the sacred hymn was recorded and sung in Latin by international artist, Maria Coman, who is featured in  I Am The Immaculate Conception, the newest film on Mary coming to U.S. theaters by Kondrat Media and Fathom Events only this December 12, 14 and 17.

Romanian artist Maria Coman is a musical artist in the sacred music genre who attracts millions of followers worldwide. Filmmakers wanted the most profound depiction of the “Magnificat” to punctuate their film on Mary and lead audiences to a soul-stirring experience during their upcoming film that opens on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe next week. The Magnificat is Mary’s song of praise when she greets Elizabeth and is detailed in Scripture. Throughout centuries the Magnificat has become a song of prayer and Marian devotion for many Christians, and is most popular during the Advent season.

“I Am The Immaculate Conception” were the words spoken by Mary, the Mother of God, as she
introduced herself to St. Bernadette in 1858 in Lourdes, France. During the seasons of Advent
and Christmas, filmmakers invite audiences to ponder why Mary presents herself this way. In I
Am The Immaculate Conception, a group of eminent experts, including the Marian Fathers,
analyze Greek texts of the Holy Scripture, revelations and the dogma of the Immaculate
Conception.

„Music lifts the soul and it is my joy and honor to be able to sing Mary’s song, her canticle of praise,” said Maria Coman. „If my musical contribution can help audiences grow closer to Mary and the Divine, that is a gift that is beyond imagination.”

Experience the debut music of Maria Coman’s Magnificat as heard in I Am The Immaculate Conception here.

“Maria’s contribution to the film is very profound for us,” said Michal Kondrat, director and producer of I Am The Immaculate Conception. “Music is the art that animates the soul and we knew that our docu-drama needed a stunning rendition of the Magnificat which is Mary’s prayer and becomes our prayer too. Christians can identify with Mary’s fiat and their souls will be stirred in this moment. I was looking for a singer with an angelic voice and I found Maria Coman whose songs are listened to by millions of people from all over the world on YouTube and Spotify. The song composed by Bartosz Chajdecki is so good that I decided to make a music video for it based on footage from the film.”

Produced and directed by Michal Kondrat (Love and Mercy: Faustina, Purgatory, Prophet) in association with the Marian Fathers, the movie brings audiences a powerful experience of Mary, the Mother of God during the Advent season of preparation for Christmas. Filmmakers have also procured partnerships with Relevant Radio, Spirit Filled Media, eCatholic and The Christian Channel.

“This is the Marian movie for today’s world in need of the sound teaching of the Church and the presence of Our Mother, Mary, the Immaculate Conception,” said Michal Kondrat. “We invite all pastors and priests to preach from the pulpit on this coming feast of the Immaculate Conception and prepare the faithful and invite them to a great inspirational teaching moment at the movies on December 12.”

Throughout the film, several prominent priests from the Congregation of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary bring forward the Marian dogma of the Catholic Church pertaining to Mary, the Mother of God. In an exclusive bonus feature to play after the main movie event, audiences will hear from the rector of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception at the nation’s capital speaking about Mary’s historic role in American history and why the U.S. Bishops urged consecration to Our Lady under the title of the Immaculate Conception.
